

SCT is dedicated to:
- promoting cycling in Hawaii,
- assisting each Boca member in developing his/her cycling potential for training and/or racing, according to his/her lifestyle and individual cycling goals,
- creating a BOCA Cycling community, one that promotes safe, effective cycling, and offers support and encouragement to its team members.
The SCT program is designed to provide an organized training plan. It covers bicycle safety, bicycle technique and time trial technique. It also focuses on speed, hill and endurance workouts, turbo training, stretching and seminars.
Riders can use this 8-week training for the pure enjoyment of improving their cycling skills, or for preparation of the Honolulu Century Ride. Let your athletic talents bloom in this rich training environment full of experienced coaches, personal attention, motivation, supportive team enthusiasm and fun! Through SCT you will have all the necessary tools to successfully reach your short and long term goals, so enjoy and train with passion!
Equipment
- Bicycle
- Helmet (mandatory – must be worn when cycling)
- Cycling shorts, jersey and cycling shoes
- Flat tire kit, pump, bicycle wrench
- Protective eyewear and gloves
- Water bottle(s) and body glide
- Jacket and rain jacket (optional)
- Head and tail lights (important)
- Turbo trainer (recommended)
- Heart rate monitor (recommended)

- Group training twice per week, with weekly email schedules
- Tuesdays 5:30 pm – turbo training
- Cross train option on Thursdays *
- Saturdays, 7:00 am – long rides

*Cross training, join Thursday 5:30pm run days (tempo/speed workout) for $80 add-on
