Kate is a level 3 USA Cycling coach. She has been coaching for Boca since 2007, and has been an athlete with the Boca ohana since 2001. Kate started doing triathlon in 1999, and though she is mainly a cyclist, she continues to dabble in triathlon for the fun and camaraderie.
In 2015, she completed the Kona Ironman. Cycle to the Sun – 1x overall women’s winner & multiple age group champion. Dick Evans Memorial Road Race – 3rd place. Hawaii Best All Around age group Rider, and State Criterium champion. Kate was selected to be a Power Tap Grassroots athlete for 2016, due to her knowledge and experience with training with power. She has attended (2) 7-day intensive power training workshops held by PowerTap. Her passion is helping others realize their potential and reach their goals. Kate is married to Loren, and has 2 lovely daughters. In her spare time, she is also a part-time musician with The Royal Hawaiian Band.
